All HTC mobile phone hard reset tips and tricks

 All HTC HARD RESET TIPS. 100% WORKING

These tips work 100%, I have personally tested them out, feel free to use them. All HTC mobile phone, both old models and new models.

 Note: Meaning of some keywords used.

Vol + ( volume up button )

Vol - ( volume down button)

Pwr ( power button)





HTC HD2

1. With your phone powered off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.

2. While holding the volume buttons, press the END/POWER button briefly and then release it.

3. When you see a warning message on screen, release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons

4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the reset or press any other button to cancel the reset.



HTC WildFire

1. Turn the power off. If your HTC Wildfire is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it

2. Hold the Volume Down button

3. Press and release the Power button

4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock

5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button

6. Press and release the Power button

7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO

If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC Wildfire.



HTC Tattoo

1.HOME + BACK  +END CALL/POWER button.

2. Press the ENTER button to begin the reset process.



HTC Magic

1. HOME and BACK buttons.

2. Briefly press the END CALL/POWER button

while continuing to press the HOME and BACK buttons

3. When you see the screen with the 3 Android images release the HOME and BACK buttons, and then press the TRACKBALL.

Tip If your phone hangs or freezes, remove the battery then wait for a few seconds, and then re-install it. After re-installing the battery, turn on the phone


HTC Desire

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.

2. Wait for the screen with the three Android image to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.

3. Press VOLUME DOWN to select CLEAR STORAGE and then press POWER.

4. Press VOLUME UP to start the factory reset.


HTC Touch HD

1. With the device turned off, press and hold the VOLUMEUP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then briefly press the POWER button.

2. Continue pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see message on thescreen "This operation will delete all your personal data"

3. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.

4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset or press any other button to cancel the reset.


HTC Hero

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the HOME and BACK buttons, and then briefly press the POWER button.

Note: If you are not sure whether your phone's power is turned off, remove and then reinsert the battery.

2. After the phone is restored to its factory default settings, press MENU to reset it.



HTC Snap

1. Power off mode, press VOLUME UP and POWER BUTTON at the same time.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the phone. The phone will restart after it has been reset.


HTC TATTOO

To reset the phone using phone buttons

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the HOME and BACK buttons, and then briefly press the END CALL/POWER button.

2. Press the ENTER button to begin the reset process.


HTC G1

1. Power off the G1

2. Hold Home Key + End key for 20 seconds or until you see a "triangle with an exclamation point and a picture of the G1"

3. Open the QWERTY keyboard and hit Alt+W

4. Restored!


T-mobile G1 Android hard

1. The device must be powered OFF to G1 hard reset

Note: If the device is not responsive and does not turn off, remove the battery and re-insert it.

2. Press and hold the Home button and the Power button at the same time.

3. Keep holding Home and Power together for at least 25 seconds, even if the "Startup" screen appears

4. Release the keys when you see a black screen with a warning sign.

5. Slide the keyboard open.

6. As a shortcut, press ALT+W to factory reset the device. If this does not work, continue with the below steps.

7. Press ALT+L.

8. Press Alt+W for 'wipe data/factory reset'.

9. Press the Home + Back key.

Note: You can also remove the battery and re-insert it.



HTC MYTOUCH 4G

 Press and hold both the Volume Down key and the Power key.

Press power button again, untill u enter recovery mode.



FOR NEWER HTC MODELS

For newer HTC models simply press down the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button (depending on your model) together with the power button, brings you to recovery mode where you can do an hard reset.

The trick is first trying out with vol+ and pwr button, if no success then try vol - and pwr button.
