How to show hidden files and folders on Windows 10.
Solution and how to fix Files not showing but occupying hard disk space.
1: Search for control panel in the search box and select it, ( bottom left corner of Windows)
2: In the top right corner of Search box, type "file explorer options" and select it. Click on the view tab, and select "view hidden files and folders and drive" option. Click on apply.
3. Close the window, now go back to Windows explorer and check the folders or drive where the files are not showing but occupying hard drive space.
SUMMARY
go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization.
(You can see the window Folder Options)
>In view tab, check show hidden files, folders, and drives and uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).
Then check whether the files/folders are there.
